Do you like Moore Theater?

Lord Huron

7th June 2018 - Thursday 20:00

Lord Huron, Michigan’s sensational indie folk artists, are bringing their signature sounds to Moore Theater!

Lord Huron was formed in 2010 by Ben Schneider as a solo project. The project’s name was inspired by a lake (Lake Huron) where he would spend his evenings playing music as a child. He recorded his first few EPs entirely on his own, then steadily added members to help play in live shows, and the solo project has now become a band. Band members include Mark Barry (percussion, vocals), Miguel Briseño (bass, keys, percussion), and Tom Renaud (guitar, vocals). They’ve released 2 studio albums, 3 EPs, and two of their singles (Ends of the Earth and Fool for Love) have featured in the TV series Community and HBO’s Girls. The band also released a series of music videos after their debut album, all filmed in a western '70s style. Ben said in an interview that “we had this fun idea that Lonesome Dreams was kind of this series of old adventure tales. It's sort of a collection of pulp fiction and we wanted the videos to kind of reflect that and have that same feel and style”.
